Elven annoyances...

I've been sitting here the last, oh, two hours or so, trying to find some sort of image of a female elf of the Tolkien style, and even though there seems to be a wealth of images of elves on the net, every single one I found of a female had wings. Wings! Elves don't have wings. Fearies and pixies have wings. Sprites sometimes have wings, but elves do not have wings! For whatever reason, this has annoyed me beyond all reason for the actual subject matter.

However, I do think I have a solution that, if it works, will alleviate said annoyance. I have petitioned the vast pool of artists from The White Council as well as a friend in Sweden to maybe point me in the right direction, or create one especially for me. Hopefully this will work before I end up beating my head against another perverbial brick wall. *sighs*
