Long slow day at the office...~May. 26, 2003~ ...again. Though this time it's due to it being Memorial Day. So while everyone else is out there having bar-b-ques and such fun, I'm 2 stories underground sittin' on my duff. Ah well. At least The Head isn't around to torment us. Yea! And I have had plenty of time to read... I'm almost finished with the 4th year Harry Potter book, which is good because I got 4 new books in the mail today, one of which dealing with the Dark Goddess and I SO want to start it, but don't want to until I've finished at least 1 of the books I'm currently reading. I also heard about another book today, think it was called Confessions of a Pagan Nun, that I really want to read. Sounds interesting. I was flipping through the baker's catalog that I get today, and was struck with the intense desire to make and decorate sugar cookies. So I looked around for a recipe, printed a couple, looked at cookie cutters, and didn't order a damned one. The desire quickly waned at that point. Not that I don't want to anymore, just not as much. Especially when I've got the fixin's for a devil's food cake with cream cheese icing and chocolate chip cookies in the cupboard at home. Think I'll do that on Wed after the inspection before getting the boys. Well, J was able to talk to the electrician this morning about the power issue. And, he, the electrician, immediately disconnected the lights in the hall, and the first floor apartment's cable from my box. WooHoo! Unfortunately, tey also learned that the box I have is sorely underrated and grossly old, even by Italian standards. So the power people will be coming sometime soon to replace that, and than there should be no more power issues at my place. THANK THE GODS! My knee is killing me, though. I think it's time to take one of my lovely little pain pills... Only 3 more hours til I go home, which means I need to get crackin' on finishing that book. Caio. Did you miss something?
