*sighs*~Aug. 11, 2002~ Why do people make comments they know will bother other people? Is it that they just don't think about what they're about to say, and the effect it will have on the other person? Or something else? I do my best not to do that, especially if it's a tender topic that I should, and normally do know will cause some sort of anguish to the other person. Ok, so maybe when I'm really mad something like that might happen, but during a normal conversation? No. Not even in a teasing manner, because there are just some things you shouldn't joke about. Or am I just being too sensitive? I realize that what was said was supposed to be a joke, but even knowing that, it still hit a rather tender chord, and bothered me. I don't think it's ever come up in that context before, but I would have thought, given the background, it never would have. Did you miss something? Check and see... |
