Why ask if you're not going to listen?

Watning, I'm about to rant. If I hurt your feelings, well... You've been warned.

Sometimes there's an advantage to being an outsider looking in to a situation. You see it more clearly. So when someone asks for advice about it, and it's given, and you fully explain why you're saying that, and the person/people don't listen, and things go wrong, and all people involved are hurt, than what the hell was the point in asking in the first place? Why the hell ask for advice if you're not going to take it? And than act as if you weren't warned? I mean hell! Shit, this has happened to me so many damned times it's not even funny. And each time it gets harder and harder to not say I told you so. And yea, I know that would be the wrong thing to say, but Christ almighty...

I'm going to bed.
