New friends, new counters~Oct. 07, 2002~ Always enjoyed making new friends, though I don't really think I've ever been good at it. A lot of people have told me the exact opposite, that I have really good people skills, and, to an extent I can see that. I think that mostly comes from the job, really. But to me, I don't make friends easily. Oh, I'm not talking about the common aquaintance that you say hi to every day, but don't really talk to each other about anything important. I'm talking about real friends, that you do talk to, and can confide in. I think that's because everytime I've done that, I've moved or lost them somehow. Until recently, that is. This year has been good to me in that area. I've got a few good friends that I feel I can really talk to, which is really important. True, recently one of those has come into question, but I still have others. And, I think I'm in the process of making another one, which is really cool. Friends are really important. A lot more so than I think a good majority of the populace at large really comprehends them to be. Without friends, where are you? What do you have? A very empty life, as I see it. So when I am blessed with being able to make another one, it makes my day, and gives me just that much more hope for humanity. I'm also trying out a new counter. Stumbled across it, and now I have no clue how, or where, and it seems to give more info than the other, so I'm checking it out. Though this is for me to use to figure out the jumble of grey matter between my ears, I do find it interesting to see where those that read my thoughts go and how they got there, or even here in the first place. So I may well change it if this one works better, or if I find something later that I like even more. Otherwise, if you have suggestions on stats monitors, really good ones that go more indepth than most people care to, let me know. A thought just occured to me on that. Maybe, just maybe, there's a part of my brain that thinks if I find out which of my tangents people read most, and I can than figure out why it's so interesting, that might give me some clue about myself. We'll just have to see, won't we? Did you miss something? Check and see... |
