Finally...

~Jul. 17, 2003~

Well, after long last I finally added more to the story I've been writing. And, I'm not done yet. :) Rejoice all ye faithful and despairing readers. Chapter 9 is up, and I'm working on 10 as we speak. Might even get 11 if people would quit buggin' me at work...

I'm getting more and more concerned about Alicia. She's a wonderful young woman, but she has a worse stint of bad luck than I had at her age. And she reminds me so much of how I was than. I do my best to help her, and look out for her, but she never listens and keeps getting hurt. *sighs*

Right now she's having car problems, she's on her 4th one since getting here a year ago, her washing machine is flooding her house, and she's obssessing about a pretty boy asshole that basically got what he wanted and ditched her. Not to mention the million little dramas she has with the people she works with or hangs out with.

I know I can't really help her much, as she'll have to learn on her own, but I can try. I do help where I can and where she lets me. J does as well. She's like a sister to him, and she's my closest female friend here. We both look out for her and drag her over to our place to get her out of her house where she just stares at the walls or plays with her dog and/or cats.

Maybe we should just let her be, or maybe we're doing the right thing. We're just doing what we feel is the right thing, and Alicia knows it. I think she appreciates it too...
